Crime Down 6% Across Chicago For The Month Of October: Police

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Crime across the city is down 6% for the month of October, Chicago police announced Sunday.

According to some just-released numbers, burglaries and other thefts dropped 25% this October compared to last October, which helped the overall statistics.

Even though there have been more shootings in Chicago this year, October had the lowest number seen since April.
