CHICAGO (CBS)– It’s a sign the holidays are on the way.

The 45-foot tree was cut down Friday in Morgan Park. It was selected from nearly 50 nominations and was donation by a retired Chicago Public Schools teacher.READ MORE: Chicago Weather: Disturbance Brings Chance Of Rain-Snow Mix To Our North Overnight
The tree will be delivered at 10 a.m. The virtual lighting service will take place on Nov. 19.
