CHICAGO (CBS)– A South Side scrap yard went up in flames overnight in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

Around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, fire began shooting from the facility at 48th and Morgan. Flames could be seen several  blocks away.

It took firefighters more than a half-hour to get the blaze under control.

No one was hurt.
