CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. (CBS) — A Chicago Heights police officer is facing charges of felony battery of a juvenile who was in handcuffs.

The investigation into the incident involving Officer Ali Fara began in September, Illinois State Police say.

Fara is also charged with official misconduct.

He was taken into custody Friday and is out on bond.
