Driver Charged With DUI After Crash Injures Illinois State Trooper On I-90

CHICAGO (CBS)– A driver involved in a crash which left an Illinois State Police trooper injured has been charged with DUI.

Police said a car veered off I-90 near River Road and struck the trooper’s vehicle.

The trooper was in a turnaround with the lights activated when the offending vehicle, going west, rear-ended the trooper, before rolling over.

The driver and the trooper suffered minor injuries.
