Chicago Area Organizations Partner With Cook Co. Sheriff's Office For Food Pantry

CHICAGO (CBS) -- An event to help families in the pandemic took place Wednesday in Homewood.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office held a drive-up food pantry for pets and people.

The Community Nutrition Network, Rescue Pack Chicago, and Friendship Food Pantry partnered with the sheriff's office.

The goal is to ease food insecurity for families, and also make sure they are able to take care of their beloved pets, too.
