70 Hotel Workers Mistakenly Receive COVID-19 Vaccines At Trump Tower Mass Vaccination Event Before They Were Eligible

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Mayor Lightfoot has asked the Department of Public Health to dig deeper into a vaccination event at Trump Tower, saying she was disappointed to hear about it.

Dr. Allison Arwady, commissioner of the Chicago Department of Public Health, says about 70 hotel employees were given shots by Loretto Hospital, mistakenly thinking they were eligible.

However, hotel workers are not eligible for the vaccine until Phase 1C at the end of the month.
