2 People Injured When Car Hits Private Ambulance In Washington Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two people were rushed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon when a car hit a private ambulance in the Washington Park neighborhood.

At 4:30 p.m., a Chevrolet was headed north on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive when it struck the ambulance, which was headed east on Garfield Boulevard.

The two men in the Chevrolet were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

No tickets were issued, police said.
