Pfizer Seeking Full FDA Approval For Its COVID-19 Vaccine
CHICAGO (CBS)-- Pfizer and BioNTech initiated an application to the US Food and Drug Administration, seeking full FDA approval of its Covid-19 vaccine for individuals 16 years and older.
The Pfizer vaccine is currently available in the U.S. under an Emergency Use Authorization that was granted by the FDA on Dec. 11.
Pfizer said 170 million doses of the vaccine have been distributed across the US to date.
