Indiana Residents Receiving Unemployment Benefits Will Have To Provide Proof Of Job Search

CHICAGO (CBS)-- There will be a change for Indiana residents getting unemployment, in just a few weeks.

Starting June 1, anyone getting jobless benefits in Indiana will have to to show proof that they are looking for work.

The requirement is not new. It was lifted during the pandemic and is returning as many businesses say they're having a hard time finding workers.

Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan all require people to look for work while on unemployment.
