14-Year-Old Boy Shot, Killed On Near West Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon on the city's Near West Side.
At 3:52 p.m., the boy was standing in the 2200 block of West Adams Street, near Leavitt Street, when he was shot in the abdomen, police said.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital of Cook County, where he was pronounced dead.
No one was in custody late Wednesday. Area Three detectives were investigating.
