Individuals who are looking for some type of computer training can find their need fulfilled rather easily in Chicago. Fortunately, adult computer classes can be found all over Chicago at all skill levels, from beginner to master level. Some computer classes are free of charge while others are not. Finding the most convenient location and the ideal computer course is not difficult because there are so many adult computer classes offered in the city. The City of Chicago offers adult computer classes in two locations. Each location offers different classes such as introduction to computers, computer graphics, Word Processing 2 and more. Classes vary in length from four to eight weeks. Each adult will have use of a computer and there is an open lab available when classes are not in session. Training Connection has a nice selection of adult computer classes such as web design, Microsoft Office and Adobe.  An advantage of taking a course through Training Connection is students are allowed to repeat their course within six months free of charge if he or she feels a refresher is needed or skills need to be honed. Classes are small, hands-on and computer courses are taught by highly qualified individuals.

CyberNavigators are technology tutors who will teach group classes or offer one-on-one assistance with a variety of technology training such as computer and internet basics. Training is offered at over 40 locations so it is best to call the library to discuss computer needs, the most appropriate location and the availability of the computer tutors/teachers.

The Technology Center provides basic to advanced computer training classes in English and Spanish. Basic computer education courses are offered; Microsoft Certification and Introduction to Microsoft are also offered. Computer classes are taught during the week, as well as weekend hours. Harper College has a large selection on non-credit continuing computer education courses. Cost for the courses is reasonable, but it is important to note that college credit is not given for these courses.
