Best Bars To Watch Basketball In Chicago

There's pretty much a sports bar on every corner in every neighborhood of Chicago. But if you're looking to catch a basketball game, or watch a few at one time, then these five bars are sure to have you covered. (Or check out these bars, which are perfect for viewing the NBA Finals).

The Boundary Tavern & Grille
1932 W. Division St.
Chicago, IL 60622
(773) 278-1919

With March Madness events every year, this Wicker Park bar and restaurant is as basketball friendly as you can get. It also has plenty of TVs on the walls to watch the game. For big games, you can count on The Boundary to play them at full volume, so you can cheer on your favorite team while noshing on its contemporary bar food from Chef Paul Katz. Plus, this spot has over 120 craft beers for you to choose from.

Will's Northwoods Inn
3030 N. Racine Ave.
Chicago, IL 60657
(773) 528-4400

This Lakeview bar is Wisconsin through and through, and you can be sure to catch any Wisconsin sports game there while enjoying some classic cheese curds. Wisconsin alumni are even known to throw a viewing party for a big game. But, lucky for Chicagoans that aren't Wisconsin transplants, you can still enjoy some good ol' Wisconsin fare -- like sausages -- and catch an array of basketball games.

The Fifty/50
2047 W. Division St.
Chicago, IL 60622
(773) 489-5050

This Ukrainian Village bar consists of three floors as well as various areas with different vibes (many including TVs). That should be reason enough to catch your choice of basketball games here, but it's not the only reason to pop a squat. It also has a great range of dishes based around some special sauces, and some interesting cocktail combinations. Or you could just grab a bucket of beer to wash down the taste of victory -- or defeat.

Don't let the name fool you. This is not just a baseball bar, even though it's just down the street from Wrigley Field. After all, on the second floor of the bar, in addition to batting cages, you can play some trampoline basketball or shoot some hoops. Slugger's is also an Indiana Hoosiers bar, strangely enough, and you can often find their games being played on the bar's many TVs in the upstairs level.

The Rail Bar & Grill
4709 N. Damen Ave.
Chicago, IL 60625
(773) 878-9400

Previously featured on Chicago's Best for its burgers and chili, this Lincoln Square restaurant and bar is also a sports bar through and through. It has 17 plasma TVs, making it easy to catch as many sports games as possible. The Rail also offers daily specials, including 25-cent jumbo wings, so no matter what you win, even if your team doesn't.
