Best Places For Mother's Day Brunch In Chicago

Spoil your mother this Mother's Day with a treat out and about. While all of these restaurants often host brunch on the weekends, they also make it a point to offer something special for the most important lady in your life once a year. Since the day promises to be a busy one, be sure to call ahead and make reservations.

For a traditional brunch, head to this Gold Coast hot spot, which is located in the Four Seasons hotel. It's a great place to impress your mom with its fresh, locally sourced food, due to the chef's farm-to-table philosophy. Past Mother's Day brunches in this chic restaurant have included an enormous array of dishes from which to choose, including seafood and charcuterie. Omelets can also be made to order. Don't fill up too much though because Allium also often has some wonderful desserts, including an ice cream bar, homemade candy and cakes. When it's not Mother's Day, Allium also features a kid brunch (with plenty for the adults too).

Treat your mother right with a wonderful brunch spread at this Loop restaurant. The buffet includes an array of foods, from the traditional omelets and pancakes to the more unusual -- but just as delicious -- Italian dishes as well as a smoked BBQ brisket carving station. What makes this treat even better is the ultimate brunch cocktail, where guests can create their own over-the-top skewer at the 33-foot-long bloody mary bar. Bottomless mimosas are also available. At just $39 per person, the brunch buffet is also reasonably priced. The special holiday buffet is offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mother's Day.

While known for its vast beer menu, don't overlook this Loop restaurant because it also offers a high-class gourmet brunch for you and mom. Even better? If the weather's right, you can enjoy your morning out on the expansive outdoor patio. Highlights of this year's Mother's Day brunch include buttermilk lavender biscuits smothered in sausage gravy, lobster benedict with arugula and truffle hollandaise, Miller Farms cornflake fried chicken and beet salad with spiced pears and goat cheese. Charcuterie and seafood will also be among the options, as well as an egg and omelet station. Mother's Day wouldn't be complete without dessert though, so choose between a delightful citrus panna cotta or coconut key lime tartlets.

For a lively but comfortable brunch, head to this Bucktown neighborhood restaurant for a brunch influenced by the owner's travels. Whether mom loves a good eggs Benedict or she's hankering for Feast's famous melt-in-your-mouth French toast, you can't go wrong here. This spot also serves some delicious smoothies to go with your meal. Want to impress mom but don't want to head out? Feast delivers too.
