Best Rafting And Tubing Near Chicago

During the warm months, rafting and tubing locations can be found near Chicago. Taking advantage of outdoor activities is important as the cold months will quickly return. Tubing and rafting are great ways to spend time with friends and family, plus the cost is reasonable and worth the fun provided.

A stay at the campground is necessary to use the tubing equipment and facilities. Tubing equipment is available from Memorial Day through Labor Day and tubing is done on the Sugar River in Brodhead, Wisconsin. There are many amenities at this campground such as tubing and canoeing, golf cart rentals, heated pool, miniature golf, skatepark and a WI-FI hot spot. Families of all ages can enjoy the numerous amenties and activities offered.

Kishwaukee River Forest Preserve offers a launch site for tubing and rafting, but tubers and rafters need to have their own gear. A life preserver is required and swimming is prohibited when tubing through the forest preserves. It is recommended not to tube or raft after a heavy rain as the water can become dangerous; there are many excellent safety tips on the website so it would be beneficial to read through the tips before tubing or rafting.

Tubing and rafting can be done at River Forest Rafting on the Wolf River. River Forest Rafting was established in 1972 and has been providing summer fun ever since. Reservations are necessary for both tubing and rafting trips. Funyaks are also offered for rental which are inflatable kayaks. Participants must sign a release of liability form and tips/policies are offered on the website.

Reservations are necessary at this campground to use the tubing facilities. Tubing is available on the Apple River and the ride is over three hours long with it ending at the campground. Tubing rates and additional charges are listed on the website. There is a tubing coupon available on the website as well to help save a couple dollars. This venue offers a wide range of amenities such as camping areas, cabins, live music on the weekends, open air patio and a mechanical bull on the weekends.

River's Edge Apple River offers all-day tubing rental and includes the water slides. The tubing starts at the top of Apple River and goes to the end through the Somerset Rapids. There are many other activities and amenities at River's Edge Apple River such as camping, outdoor concerts, watersliding, mini-golf, swimming pool, live entertainment and much more.
