It's as traditional as it gets, made with ground beef, peas, carrots, and minced onions, and then topped with mashed potatoes. If you're still hungry after enjoying last bite, it comes with a side of green beans too.

D4 may have "Irish" in it's name, but it's not a very traditional pub. After all, some of their most popular items include a delicious, juicy burger, and a lobster roll. But the menu does have some Irish touches, including a patron favorite, shepherd's pie. The lunch and dinner entree is made with angus ground beef, as well as carrots and English peas, and then topped with mashed potatoes and Irish cheddar.

There are a lot of reasons to visit this spacious Irish pub in Lincoln Park. The fully stocked bar - packed with craft beers and premium liquors -- is one reason. The fabulous menu, with shepherd's pie as a centerpiece, is another. No matter what the time of year -- yes, even in the Summer -- savor the incredibly generous portion of shepherd's pie. The dish is made with ground sirloin that's been cooked in a stout gravy, and then topped with carrots, celery, and sweet peas, as well as mashed potatoes, and Parmesan cheese shavings. With the big dish, chances are, more likely than not, you'll even have some delicious leftovers to take home.
