Merkle’s Bar and Grill:

3516 N. Clark Street
Chicago, IL 60686

You just can’t top the chicken wings at this Wrigleyville establishment. They can be as big as your hand and dripping with sauce. Take advantage on Thursdays (non-Cubs game days) and you can get a basket of wings for $5 bucks. Not a bad deal and certainly worth it.

Rockit Bar and Grill:

22 W. Hubbard Street
Chicago, IL 60610

While Rockit tries to come off as a rock bar with a hard edge, the only thing this place has is great food and beverages. Make sure you try out the Rockit Pockits, The Rockit Cheese Fries, or the Rockcorn Shrimp. All are served daily, but keep an eye on their website, as specials come up daily.

Rockwood Place:

3466 N.Clark Street
Chicago, IL 60657

Don’t come in this Wrigleyville bar thinking you are going to get a fancy drink or relax with a martini. This bar’s motto is “Dive cuisine. Easy to spell drinks. Occasional roadhouse.” While, they play hardball, you can get some of the best flatbreads and burgers in the city. Top that off with portabella mushrooms and bacon, or BBQ chicken, and you are going to need some B-E-E-R to wash all that down with.

Bull & Bear:

431 N. Wells Street
Chicago, IL 60610

This upscale sports bar in River North’s name gives a nod to our favorite 2 sports teams in Chicago and the stock market theme that you will see throughout. Depending on when you hit up this spot, you might see a member of some of those sports teams hitting up the Kobe burgers, or pigs in a blanket with citrus slaw. Food-wise, this spot has it all, to go along with a great atmosphere, people watching, and drink menu.

The Terrace At Trump:

401 N. Wabash Avenue, 16th Floor
Chicago, IL 60611

While this may not be the cheapest of the “bars” in Chicago, it does have some of the most impressive choices, as well as views. Located on the 16th floor terrace of Trump Tower in Chicago, The Terrace offers ceviche, gourmet sliders, and skewers all while enjoying the views of the lake to the east, and the city to the north and south.
