THE DEFENSE

Q: Great convertible. What is its primary use?

A: Luxury. We take it out on the weekends for trips like these, special functions and just for fun. We leave our other car for work and business purposes.

Q: How many hours do you spend in the car?

A: We spend roughly about eight hours throughout the week in the car. I think spending some—but not a lot of time in the car—keeps it feeling fresh and new. Every time I get in it, it feels like the first time, so I don't want to spoil that feeling by driving it too much.

Q: What's your favorite day trip from home?

A: Actually, coming down here to the Hyatt.

Q: What made coming down here so enjoyable?

A: I was with my husband. We had the top down, wind in our hair and we were watching the scenery on the way here. I think there is something so great about coming down to Chicago in a convertible because you're not boxed in like a regular car. You can feel the energy from the people. You just feel so relaxed.

Q: Where's the farthest place you have driven to in this car?

A: Chicago. I think it's the farthest place we've been. We mainly like to keep this car local because we don't want to put a lot of unnecessary miles on it.

Q: Do you have any rules in your car?

A: Since it only fits two people, my husband and I are the only one's who really ride around in it. We don't really need rules. We just treat it well, so we don't smoke or eat in it. All we basically do is just get in and hang out. Well, I guess that's one rule. Have fun at all times in it.

Q: If your car had a human emotion, what would it be?

A: I think you would definitely call it sexy. It's an eye catcher. People are immediately attracted to the cherry-red color and can't help but stare at it.

Q: Is there anything else we should know about your sexy Mercedes?

A: Everyone should have one at least once in their lives.
