An affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Kane County Cougars team has been offering super affordable, family-friendly fun for more than 25 years. The only MiLB franchise in Chicagoland does not see its popularity waning, even in the era of in-home entertainment: it's the first Class-A franchise in the history of Minor League Baseball to attract 11 million fans. Special Theme Nights

"With the price of a game ticket, you have access to great baseball and many entertainment options based on the date you choose to attend," explains spokesperson Amy Bromann. "For example, on Saturdays beginning June 11th, a pre-game concert and post-game fireworks show are included in the ticket price. These options extend throughout the 2016 season and include several great theme nights such as Star Wars 3D Night, Princess and Pirate Night, Jimmy Buffett Night, Superhero and Comic-Con Night, Military Appreciation Night, Pro Wrestling Night, Frozen Night and more." Specials And Discounts

Get in on weekly specials with discounted ticket options and food and beverage specials based on the day of the week you're in town. Take advantage of $5 Monday, June through September (excluding July 18), when you can snag reserved and lawn seats for an easy five bucks. Half-Price Hump Day occur on Wednesday evening home games and feature specials including half-priced reserved and lawn seats, half-priced regular size soda, pizza, popcorn, burgers, nachos and some souvenirs that kids clamor for. Beer fans should come by for "Thirsty Thursdays presented by Miller Lite" featuring $1 select beers and sodas  as well as $1 hot dogs. The Cougars also offer specials for seniors, veterans, and active-duty military.

Food And Beverage

The Cougars Craft Beer Cave is a walk in cooler a selection of craft beer that's usually not found at a ballpark - and for $7. Try the Cougars own branded beer, "Raging Cougar Ale", created by Warrenville based Two Brothers Brewing Company. Wannemaker's Grill is preparing grilled meats and sandwiches such as Italian Combo, BBQ pork, Italian beef, Polish sausage, burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches among others. New in 2016, the Cougars boast its own Dippin' Dots flavor – Cougar Freeze - at the new Dippin' Dots Kiosk.

Additional Entertainment

The stadium has a permanent stage in the Acres Music Garden that plays host to Saturday pre-game concerts. Expect local favorites like Mr. Meyers; American English; and the Trippin' Billies. The KidZone presented by Rainbow Play Systems offers games for kids, a playground, inflatables and a new obstacle course - so the kidlets won't complain about boredom.

Admission ranges from $4.50-$15 depending upon the day. The stadium is located in the Chicago suburb of Geneva, which is easily accessible via car and Metra rail from the city and other suburbs.
