Fifth House Ensemble will present the world premiere of The Weaver's Tale: of debt and the maidens for two performances only, Tuesday, May 3 at 7 p.m. at the Chicago Cultural Center (FREE performance) and Wednesday, May 4 at 8 p.m. at Mayne Stage (Ticketed, $20 - $25). This world premiere concert is the third and final performance in Fifth House Ensemble's 2010-2011 season concert series, The Weaver's Tales.

Alice Ripley who received the 2009 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical, will reprise her acclaimed performance in Chicago. Having been chosen as "one of the year's ten best" by major critics around the country, NEXT TO NORMAL is an emotional powerhouse of a musical with a thrilling contemporary score about a family trying to take care of themselves and each other.

The Architecture & Design Film Festival makes its Chicago debut at the Gene Siskel Film Center of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago May 5 to 9, with screenings of more than 40 films from 11 different countries. The Architecture and Design Film Festival, first held in October 2010 at the Tribeca Cinemas in New York City, is an annual event that celebrates the creative spirit of architecture and design through a dynamic program of films, panel discussions and Q&As.
