Summer in Chicago means festivals, concerts and street fairs. This weekend, there's no shortage of all of the above! Here are a few events around town to help keep you busy!

The Pitchfork Music Festival is a three-day event showcasing over 40 of independent music's best bands and artists on three stages. With so many blockbuster festivals gouging their attendees out of absolutely obscene sums of money, only to confine them in uncomfortable, tight spaces and skimp on basic necessities, our goal is to do the right thing: That is, to create a reasonably priced summer music festival that provides an overwhelmingly positive, comfortable and fun festival experience for both attendees and musicians.

The chic River North scene takes center stage for a 10th consecutive year at the Taste of River North, July 15-17, presented by East Bank Club and hosted by the River North Residents' Association. Located in and around sprawling Ward Park, the annual fest gives discerning palates, music fans and casual art lovers a gratifying taste of the best of everything the trendy River North neighborhood has to offer, all in a picturesque riverfront setting.

The best local and national ribbers will mix it up with three days of classic and hot music acts at this third annual festival that's fast becoming an iconic summer event. It also features arts, crafts and other vendors. Among this year's performers are acclaimed New Orleans rockers Cowboy Mouth; eclectic indie-rockers Rusted Root; and Chicago's very own R&B/dance chanteuse Linda Clifford. A $5 suggested daily donation benefits the Business Partners, The Chamber for Uptown.

Two Nights of World Class Rock at the 27th annual World's Largest Block Party. The Block Party is a Chicago Summer tradition not to be missed – each year nearly 20,000 people enjoy two blocks of music, food and fun. Tickets are $40 in advance; $45 at the gate, a two-night pass is available for $75. The price of admission includes five FREE beverages; a choice of beer, wine, soda or bottled water. You could get your beverage from a host of local celebrity bartenders.

Great music! The works of more than 80 juried artists! Chicken wings galore! The are just a few of the highlights of the 3rd annual Lincoln Park Arts & Music Festival in the heart of the Lincoln Park/DePaul neighborhood. This year's music headliners are acclaimed Chicago roots rockers The Freddy Jones Band, and equally lauded South Carolina singer/songwriter Trevor Hall. In addition, a NEW feature this year will be the yummy chicken wings of more than seven food vendors. The gate donation of $7 benefits the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce, Chicago's largest neighborhood chamber.

Neighborhood Festival featuring: A Lion Dance procession at 1:00 p.m. which starts at the Main Stage (23rd St and Wentworth Ave) with Asian cultural entertainment and a Music Stage (Wentworth Ave and 24th Pl) on the hour. A taste of Chinatown's many restaurants, local unique gift shops, Chinese art's and craft's exhibit, a children area and street vendors with an array of merchandise for a day long family event.
