White Sox unveil new outdoor beer garden at U.S. Cellular Field

CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox will open a new outdoor beer garden at Gate 5 of U.S. Cellular Field on Monday, July 26.

"TBD's," as the area is known, will be open on gamedays to all fans, 21 years and older (a game ticket purchase is not necessary for admission to TBD's). The outdoor beer garden opens two hours before the start of each home game, and remains open one hour after the final out.

"TBD's will be a great place for fans to meet friends before and after the game," said White Sox senior vice president of sales and marketing Brooks Boyer. "This fan amenity also will serve as a place to watch games with other Sox fans."

The new area will serve beer, wine, soda and water, and operate through the end of the 2010 season.

The White Sox also continue to consider further development and expansion of the Gate 5 area.
