CHICAGO (STMW) – Late-night Red and Blue Line riders should allow extra travel time this week, as maintenance work is expected to cause minor delays.

Red Line trains in both directions will operate on the same track between the Garfield and Sox-35th Street stations from 11 p.m. Sunday until 4 a.m. Monday while crews perform track maintenance, according to the CTA’s website. The work will continue at the same time every day this week, ending Friday morning.

As a result, passengers must board and exit all trains on the 95th Street-bound side of the platform at the 47th Street station.

On the Blue Line, trains in both directions will operate on the same track between the Kedzie-Homan and Austin stations from 10 p.m. Sunday until 4 a.m. Monday for track maintenance, the CTA said.

Passengers must board and exit all trains on the O’Hare-bound side of the platform at the Pulaski and Cicero stations.

Additionally, Blue Line trains in both directions will run on the same track between the Pulaski and Western (Forest Park branch) stations from 10 p.m. Monday until 4 a.m. Tuesday, the CTA said. The work will continue the next two days, ending early Thursday.

As a result, passengers must board and exit all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Kedize-Homan station.
