Not anymore, thanks to some help from computer-maker Apple.
Apple is opening its latest store--a beautiful, modernistic glass structure--right by the station. If you turned the building on its side, it almost looks like one of the company's stylishly designed computers.
As part of the deal, the company spiffed up the CTA station and added a plaza, with white tables and chairs and a soothing fountain.
While the station doesn't possess the same architectural flair as the store itself, there is a new brick entrance and the inside has been scrubbed up. Of course, riders are greeted with several Apple ads as they come and go.
The store opens on Saturday.
