Lovie Admits To Mistakes

Lovie may have reiterated the fact that he thinks the Bears are a good football team and that they're sitting at 4-3 and on top of the division, but he also didn't shy away from the mistakes that lead to the Bears loss on Sunday.

"Whenever you turn the ball over that many times it's tough to win," Lovie said in his press conference.

Lovie further addressed the turnover issue by saying: "we're all at fault with the interceptions, we all have to take part of that. Jay [Cutler] will tell you that some of them were on him, receivers can help out in some of the routes, some of the calls can help out too."

That accountability won't ease any of the pain that Bears fans felt after watching the Redskins leave Soldier Field with a victory. It's a victory that could have very easily belong to the Bears, especially if Lovie had challenged the Cutler fumble on the goalline that appeared to have been a Bears touchdown.

"If there's a critical situation I throw [the challenge flag] whether I have a good look or not. [I] didn't have a good look on [the fumble]...that was a critical play in the game. I need to be able to make that call," Lovie said.

With a bye week coming up, the Bears coaches and players should have plenty of time to correct all the mistakes seen on Sunday and prepare for a Buffalo Bills team that shouldn't give the Bears much trouble.

While the Bills shouldn't give the Bears trouble, if the continued mistakes aren't addressed and corrected we could be seeing the Bears lose another game that could have been won.
