Blackhawks Call Up Ben Smith From Rockford
The Blackhawks have recalled Ben Smith from the Rockford IceHogs. Smith will take the roster spot vacated by Marian Hossa, who is expected to miss a couple of weeks.
The 22-year old Smith has recorded a goal and three assists in eight games for Rockford this season. The Boston College Alum was the Most Outstanding Player of the 2010 Frozen Four as he helped lead his team to the National Championship.
