Fields suffered multiple stab wounds during a fight with his brother Thursday in the 16800 block of Riverside Drive, Tinley Park police said.

"There was a dispute between a couple of brothers. It has to do with family matters. We'll leave it at that for now," McCain said Friday.

Fields, 53, of the 6500 block of 167th Street, was pronounced dead at 5:16 p.m. Thursday at South Suburban Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Police had responded to a domestic disturbance at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the 16800 block of Riverside Drive, police said. Each man was injured in the disturbance, police said.
