Notre Dame QB Crist Injured

(WSCR) - Notre Dame quarterback Dayne Crist was injured after being forced out of bounds in the first quarter.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) Notre Dame quarterback Dayne Crist was forced to leave Saturday's game against Tulsa in the first quarter with an injury to his left leg after he was driven out of bounds following a 29-yard run.

After Crist broke off the run, he was hit hard and knocked out of bounds by Tulsa's Tanner Antle. Tommy Rees replaced Crist.

Crist was examined on the sideline and got on an exercise bike before he was led to the locker room with a brace on his left leg.

The Irish were also without leading rusher Armando Allen, who was out with a hip injury.
