CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are asking for the public’s help finding a city truck driver missing from his Southwest Side home since Oct. 29.

Humberto “Beto” Gutierrez, 55, went missing from the 2500 block of South Spaulding Avenue, according to a missing person alert from Harrison Area detectives. Gutierrez also goes by the alias DNA.

Gutierrez is a truck driver for the city’s Department of Streets & Sanitation and has not shown up for work since going missing, the alert said. However, he is a member of the Bally Total Fitness gym in Countryside and signed in as a guest at 3 p.m. Oct. 30. <!–[endif]–>

Gutierrez is described as a 6-feet, 180-pound Hispanic man with an olive complexion, brown hair and brown eyes, according to the alert.

He drives a green 1998 Jeep with Illinois license plate numbers K104171, the alert said.

The person who filed the report said the behavior is out of character, police said.

Anyone with information about Gutierrez’ whereabouts is asked to call Harrison Area detective Joseph Gentile at (312) 746-9259.
