Cops: Man Had 77 lbs Of Pot In Car Trunk

EVERGREEN PARK, Ill. (STMW) - A Chicago man stopped Monday by police in southwest suburban Evergreen Park was stashing a lot more than jumper cables and an ice scraper in the trunk of his Toyota.

Police charged 29-year-old Vincent Litzsey with possession of about 77 pounds of marijuana after a stop at 95th Street and Spaulding Avenue.

Police said they received a 911 call about a possible car theft in a lot in the 4100 block of 95th Street. The caller saw two men park the car in the lot and then saw a different man enter the car and drive off minutes later, according to police.

Oak Lawn and Evergreen Park police stopped Litzsey a short time later and discovered marijuana in the trunk of the car, police said.
