2 Bodies Found In Car

Updated: 11/14/10 2:45 p.m.

CHICAGO (CBS) — Police making a well-being check Saturday evening in West Englewood made a horrific discovery: two dead bodies inside a parked car.

The men — identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office as 29-year-old David D. Goodson and 30-year-old Oscar Harris — were found about 6:45 p.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of West 70th Street, police said.

A Sunday autopsy determined both men died of multiple gunshot wounds, and the deaths were ruled homicides, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The person who notified authorities said the men inside the parked silver 2003 Infinity “hadn’t moved” the past two days and thought police should check on them, police said.

Both men were pronounced dead on the scene, Goodson at 7:40 p.m. and Harris a minute later, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The Infinity — with license plate numbers X926206 — is registered to a woman who lives in the 6100 block of South Campbell Avenue, police said.

The city’s Department of Streets & Sanitation towed the car to the medical examiner’s office.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.

Are you serious people die every day everywhere but you can not have a heart to say burn the whole area down. Instead of leaving ignorant comments try to think of positive things that can change the community. The way of life for the people in Englewood because not everyone there is a killer or a bad person. If your so tired of hearing about the bad things don’t watch the news and don’t read the news paper find a new hobby.

I am a Vietnam era Army Veteran .

I want the new MAYOR of Chicago to see to it that public schools have a requirement class for all student to hear and see what deadly weapons do to people and their family and friends when a loved one is Killed.

The 2 day program will show pictures of human gun shot wounds on various parts of the body and about what the bullet do to the body as to the process of leaving this World.

The training will also teach people to think 5 times before you pull the trigger to take a life. New technology is coming out that detects gun shots via a satillite and takes photos instantly in the area for local movement to catch the offenders with a high tech tracking device which instantly measure DNA and crime control around the country.
