2 Bodies Found In Car

Updated: 11/14/10 2:45 p.m.

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police making a well-being check Saturday evening in West Englewood made a horrific discovery: two dead bodies inside a parked car.

The men -- identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office as 29-year-old David D. Goodson and 30-year-old Oscar Harris -- were found about 6:45 p.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of West 70th Street, police said.

A Sunday autopsy determined both men died of multiple gunshot wounds, and the deaths were ruled homicides, according to the medical examiner's office.

The person who notified authorities said the men inside the parked silver 2003 Infinity "hadn't moved" the past two days and thought police should check on them, police said.

Both men were pronounced dead on the scene, Goodson at 7:40 p.m. and Harris a minute later, according to the medical examiner's office.

The Infinity -- with license plate numbers X926206 -- is registered to a woman who lives in the 6100 block of South Campbell Avenue, police said.

The city's Department of Streets & Sanitation towed the car to the medical examiner's office.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
