2 Charged With Selling Heroin Near Suburban School

CARPENTERSVILLE, Ill. (STMW) - Two northwest suburban man were arrested on drug charges after allegedly selling heroin to an undercover police early Wednesday near a Carpentersville elementary school.

Wayne W. Follman, 46, of the 1300 block Sacramento Drive, Carpentersville, and Shane C. Westphal, of Wonder Lake, were charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school, a Class X felony, as well as Class 1 felony counts of possession and delivery of a controlled substance.

They are accused of selling heroin to an undercover officer early Wednesday morning near Carpentersville's Lakewood Elementary School, police said.

Bond was set at $100,000 for Follman and at $150,000 for Westphal. Both were given Dec. 16 court dates.
