Household Incomes Dropping In Suburbs
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- New census information suggests household incomes have seen major drops over the past 10 years in the Chicago suburbs.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Bernie Tafoya reports, the Census figures indicate that Lake County has a median household income of $78,000 per year, which is down 9 percent from 2000.

DuPage County saw an even steeper drop in median household income – more than 12 percent to about $76,000 per year.
Household incomes were down by more than 10 percent to $68,000 a year in Kane County, down nearly 9 percent to about $54,000 a year in Cook County, and down in Will County more than 7 percent to $74,000 a year.
