All of that is on their minds while trying to prepare for Vikings team that, while underachieving this season, can still be dangerous.
“You want to get it done,” Jay Cutler said of winning the division. “You want to get it done and over with. A few things have to happen, we have to play well, first and foremost, and we have to take care of our end of the bargain.”
The other end of the bargain lies on the Green Bay Packers’ shoulders. If they lose on Sunday night, to the New England Patriots, the Bears will have the opportunity to clinch on Monday night.
But what the Packers do, can become somewhat irrelevant if the Bears stay focused on the task at hand.
“We have a tough week ahead of us,” Cutler said. “It’s a Monday night game and we don’t know where we’re playing. So there are some distractions we have to avoid.”
