Aikman: ‘A Lot At Stake’ For Bears

The Bears will be in the playoffs, this much we know. But, their exact seeding is still up in the air, and could see significant change over the course of the NFL’s final week.

Although a lot can change and nothing is guaranteed in the playoffs, the Bears are in a position where they could potentially play the, defending Super Bowl champion, New Orleans Saints in the second round or the Green Bay Packers, in the first round.

“I think you want the bye, if you can get it,” Troy Aikman said on the Mully and Hanley Show when talking about possible playoffs scenarios. “And I think that’s what’s pretty interesting. This time of year, you just get kind of worn out trying to sort through [all of the potential playoff scenarios and matchups].”

The Bears have held their destiny in their own hands for quite some time now. While things could change over the last few days of games, the Bears can put themselves in the best position by just simply winning.

“It looks like the Bears could potentially go from a one-seed, depending on what happens with Atlanta, to maybe a three-seed,” Aikman said. “So there’s certainly a lot at stake and I would much rather, regardless of who I was playing and how it unfolded, have a first round bye then have to play in the wild card round.”

Green Bay has the better quarterback and the better team to win it all…The Bears won’t win because every time cutler throws… it makes everyone hold their breath. He only looks good because of the wide open receivers…period..and the easy schedule…If you watched all the games as I did you would see that….four weeks ago the town of Chicago wanted to hang Jay Cutler, now they think he might have a chance…HYPOCRITES EVERY ONE OF THEM FANS,, Up in Green Bay they live and die with their team and support them……This time around they will live and win the NFC TITLE…if you don;t believe me ask DA COACH and VEGAS… GREEN BAY ALL THE WAY !

Fourth hardest schedule in the NFL. Wide open receivers??? Did you even watch the game, not to many QB’s in the NFL make some of those throws.
By the way you better check the odds in Vegas Pukers are from the far from the favorite. One concussion away from the season end.

OMG are you wrong, all that cheese must be clogging up your brain. Just like Favre fizzled away so will the one dimensional Packers. By the way it was great watching all the Packers fans drive back to WI with their tales between their legs lol

Yeah it was easy beatin on the Eagles and the Packers. Two alleged great teams that LOST to the Bears. You crack me up!!

Here is a nice side salad dish I came up with called The Revenge Salad for all you expert Bear fan haters this Sunday when we are busy fighting for the second seed in the NFC: Start with a bed of chopped iceberg Lovie lettuce. Mix in 2 heaping pounds of Cutler crow, garnish it with fresh red Peppers. For true Bear fans I recommend any preferred salad dressing but for the jaded ass bag haters try a large spoon full of Peanut or Hetershire sauce. This should all sit on top of a 14 karat Gould salad plate. Revenge is a dish best served when cold. So Enjoy! Sorry if I left off some McKey ingredients for my revenge salad like Idonijaise sauce, garlic Kreutzons and Graham cracker crusts but that’s only cause those all have a pungent Aromashadu. If you’re Forte is the holy Grail 1985 revenge salad please just use Suhey sauce (youll get much Fuller that way) McMahon I love revenge salads!
