Several People Hospitalized In Kennedy Crash

CHICAGO (STMW) — Several people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash early Monday on the Kennedy Expressway.

About 1:40 a.m., state police received reports of a multi-car crash on the northbound Kennedy Expressway near the Bryn Mawr Avenue exit ramp, according to Illinois State Police District Chicago Trooper Mark Hall.

“Several” people were injured in the wreck and taken in an unidentified conditions to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, according to Illinois State Police District Chicago Trooper Ramon Coss.

The left lane was temporarily closed following the crash, but was cleared by 2:20 a.m., Coss said.

State police remained at the hospital early Monday, Coss said. No citations or charges were filed as of that time.

A Chicago Fire Department spokesman did not provide information about the patients.

    Since the crash occured at Bryn Mawr why weren`t the victims transported to
    Ressurection hospital which is only a few minutes away from the scene of the accident?

    Please, I have been searching online for any updates for a day now and if anyone can tell me how these people are doing it would be much appreciated. I watched the suv do cartwheels early yesterday morning and immediately called 911 but Ive been thinking about them since.
