Toews And Keith Among First Six NHL All-Stars

Jonathan Toews and Duncan Keith were among the first six NHL players chosen by the fans for the NHL’s All-Star game. The NHL will announce the rest of the All-Star roster on January 11th.

Toews received 407,676 votes and Keith received 382,162 votes. But the top-voted player was Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby. Crosby received 635,509 votes and will be joined by three teammates to round out the first six All-Stars.

The first six All-Stars chosen were: Toews, Keith, Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang and Marc-Andre Fleury.

    good for toews and Keith! not sure if Duncan really deserves it… but okay!

    and notice the voting totals, there is a huge difference between NFL voting totals and NHL voting totals, hockey is not very popular nationally right now.

    I agree its popularity is low I think the winter classic is a selling tool only problem with it having it on new years day in the middle of bowl games may not be a terrific idea eventually they should have at least 4 games in february after the superbowl. In the month of February it’s always dead. This would be a great way for the NHL to market its sport. Ratings for the winter classic has already soared I think having more games ecspecially in the month of febuary would be a great idea
