Friday night was a big night for Chicago White Sox manager OzzieGuillen.
On top of it being his birthday, he attended SoxFest 2011, his option for 2011 was picked up by the team and he was the guest of honor at The Score’s Celebrity Roast.
The night kicked off with a pre-roast broadcast by the Boers and Bernstein Show at Real Time Sports, and the roast itself took place next door at Belvedere Banquets in Elk Grove.
The roasters included: Peggy Kusinski, of NBC; Oney and Ozzie Jr, Ozzie’s sons; Roberto Hernandez, former White Sox pitcher and Joe Cowley, of the Chicago Sun-Times.
The Score’s Chris Rongey was the emcee for the night, and Ozzie himself took the mic to return the fire at his roasters.
Also on hand for the event were former White Sox players Harold Baines and Ron Karkovice, as well as hundreds of Score listeners.
