ROSEMONT, Ill. (WBBM) — Officials in Rosemont have a proposal to make it easier to get to the village’s expanding entertainment district, improving its prospects for success.
As WBBM Newsradio 780’s Bob Conway reports, the Daily Herald says the plan is to build an off ramp from the northbound Tri-State Tollway onto Balmoral Avenue.

The village is willing to put up the $25 million cost, and have the toll authority pay back half of that in the future.
So far, the entertainment district includes a movie theatre, but plans for two restaurant-bars and a bowling alley.
The Illinois Toll Highway Authority is to vote on the ramp plan next month with financing aspects still to be completely worked out.
