Hjalmarsson Will Be In Lineup Against Oilers

In the first period of Monday night’s 3-1 loss to the Calgary Flames, defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson injured his foot.

The 23-year-old Swede sat out a practice on Tuesday, but was able to skate on Wednesday morning and will play Wednesday night against the last place Edmonton Oilers.

“I’m feeling almost 100 percent so I’ll be good [Wednesday night],” Hjalmarsson told Chris Kuc, of the Chicago Tribune. “This one bruised up a little bit and was a little swollen. I had a tough time getting my foot in a skate [Tuesday]) but it’s better and that’s good so I can get a pregame skate in.”

Hjalmarsson ranks 10th in the NHL with 110 blocked shots.

BRING BACK DALE and fire STAN. Now wer’e on the outside looking in as of now wer’e one slump away from missing the playoffs. I know Dale messed up putting the hawks over the cap but firing him was the biggest mistake. If anything they should’ve let him fix his own mess. Hiring STAN BOWMAN was an even bigger mistake and so far this guy has stocked our team with non-productive players and he’s given away the wrong players. Stan Bowman is not a GM and right now he’s going to sink this team into deeper futility. Sad thing is they’ll probably ride him out for another year or two. Transforming them from champs to chumps we’ll definately get people’s attention and when it does I hope he’s the first one to go. FIRE STAN BOWMAN
