The Chicago Blackhawks currently sit in 7th place in the Western Conference, just one point out of fourth. Things could be much worse for the Blackhawks if they hadn’t just secured 18 points in their last 11 games.

Over those games the Blackhawks have started to look more and more like the team from a season ago. As a result, does team owner Rocky Wirtz think that everything is starting to come together?

“Well I think you do,” Wirtz said on the Danny Mac Show, “even with some injuries, upper body or lower body and the average person doesn’t know how serious those are, but I think you see the depth that the team has…You have four good lines, with the addition of Ryan Johnson and the faceoffs that that fourth line can do and penalty killing. So I think that overall, they’re right where Stan wants to be. Obviously you want more points, but it’s going to be a dogfight to the last game.”
