5-Car Crash Snags Eisenhower Expressway
HILLSIDE, Ill. (CBS) -- A five-car crash on the Eisenhower Expressway tied up traffic for miles Friday morning.
The crash happened before dawn Friday on the Eisenhower near Mannheim Road. The five cars all rear-ended each other, CBS 2's Kris Habermehl reported.
Two lanes were blocked on the outbound Eisenhower, and traffic was severely backed up from Harlem Avenue all the way to Mannheim Road.
A gapers' block also affected the outbound side, tying up traffic from 25th Avenue to Harlem Avenue.
Some people in the accident suffered minor injuries, and ambulances were sent to the scene, Habermehl reported.
