Bulls' Comeback Falls Short, Win Streak Snapped At Eight

If there was still anyone out there who didn't believe that Derrik Rose is the MVP of the league, then tonight's comeback ought to change their mind.

The Bulls entered the fourth quarter trailing the Indiana Pacers 89-73, but Rose and the Bulls fought back to force an overtime session.

Rose scored 19 of the Bulls' final 20 points in regulation, including three free throws with with 1.2 seconds left on the clock to send the game to OT. However, the Bulls would eventually lose 115-108.

Rose led all scorers with 42 points and would eventually foul out with less than a minute to play.

Luol Deng chipped in 21 points for the Bulls and Joakim Noah scored 17 points and pulled in four rebounds.

Tyler Hansbrough led the Pacers with 29 points and 12 rebounds.

The loss prevented the Bulls from reaching the 50-win mark, the last time the Bulls won 50 games was the 1997-98 season when they finished the regular season 62-20 and went on to win their sixth NBA Title.

The Bulls' record now sits at 49-19 with 14 games left to be played.
