The Chicago Blackhawks have officially recalled forward Marcus Kruger from Djurgardens of the Swedish Elitserien (Elite League), the team announced on Wednesday.

The 20-year old was leading his team with 35 points (6 goals and 29 assists) and had a +12 rating through 50 games. He’s the youngest player in the Swedish Elite League’s Top-20 scorers this season.

The Stockholm, Sweden, native was the Blackhawks’ fifth selection (149th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He earned a Bronze Medal playing for Sweden in the 2010 World Junior Championships in Saskatchewan where he was third on team Sweden with six goals in six games and ranked seventh in the entire tournament with a +7 rating.

Kruger will wear number 16 for the Blackhawks.
