Thibodeau Will Push Bulls For Top Seed

The Chicago Bulls currently have a half-game lead over the Boston Celtics for the top-seed in the Eastern Conference.

"There's such a huge advantage," Mark Schanowski, from Comcast SportsNet, said on the Danny Mac Show when talking about securing the top seed. "Just the fact that you let Miami and Boston play each other in the second round, and then you take whoever is left, you get to play a losing team in the opening round, basically a walkover."

The Bulls have been better than anyone expected this season, but they're still a fairly inexperiecned playoff team.

"It's something that would be really important for a team that hasn't had any playoff success in the past," Schanowski said. "I think right now [Tom] Thibodeau wants to win every possession, so there's no reason he's not going to push them for the number-one seed."
