NEW YORK (CBS) — A new published report says the NFL wants to test all its players for human growth hormone.

Fox Sports reported Thursday that the league wants to make HGH testing a part of whatever settlement is reached to end the impasse between players and team owners.

Currently, HGH is barred by the NFL, but the league does not test for the substance in drug tests, Fox News reported.

As for the impasse, NFL players are awaiting a court date of April 6, when a judge will hear their lawsuit requesting an injunction to end the lockout that has been in place since their collective bargaining agreement with team owners expired.
