Rodman Gets Emotional Over Pistons Retiring Jersey

Dennis Rodman says he's surprised the Detroit Pistons decided to retire his jersey.

The honor made Rodman so emotional that just talking about it led to tears streaming down both cheeks.

A spot was cleared in The Palace's rafters for his No. 10 alongside former Bad Boys teammates Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Bill Laimbeer and Vinnie Johnson. The Pistons have also retired Dave Bing and Bob Lanier's jerseys, and honored Bill Davidson, Chuck Daly and Jack McCloskey with banners for contributions to the franchise with three NBA titles.

Rodman - then known as "The Worm" - helped Detroit win two in 1989 and '90, and won three more championship with the Chicago Bulls. He is among 12 finalists for induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
