Reyes, a third-grade teacher at Raymond Ellis Elementary School in Round Lake Beach, is accused of inappropriately touching four victims under the age of 13 between Aug. 18, 2010 and March 23, 2011, Chiarello said.

Reyes was arrested at his home in Kenosha, Wis., Saturday by police from Round Lake Beach on a warrant charging him with six counts of sex abuse.

Police and Round Lake Unit School District 116 officials will not say where the alleged assaults took place. School District 116 officials sent letters home and made telephone calls alerting parents of the news.

Police said Tuesday Reyes was expected to waive extradition and would appear in Lake County bond court Friday.

Reyes has been a teacher for six years. He is currently being held in the Kenosha County Jail.

I hope he gets to meet Bubba in cell block D very closely. He deserves to burn!

    • Christine

Inappropriate touching? What the hell does that supposed to mean? What exactly is inappropriate touching?

  • Parent

This is an epidemic. Talk to your children, there may be more that haven’t been caught yet. The kids in the public schools seem to be just as much at risk as those in the Catholic school system. It’s out of control.

  • George brown

    Castrate this man in public..

    • Tina

You’re disgusting. You don’t even know if he acted improperly!! What is wrong with you, George?

I am a retired coach for youth gymnastics. I spent 35 years watching coaches getting their jollys at the expense of female gymnasts. I worked in more than a dozen different gyms over the years. I saw male coaches touching young girls on a daily basis.

      Don’t they call it “spotting”?

In case anyone was wondering, earlier I tried to post a comment saying it was irresponsible of the media to name people who had ALLEGEDLY committed crimes. It was very critical of the media’s attempt to be judge and jury for people who have not been found guilty in a court of law, only the court of media. Of course this comment was mod’d and deleted. This will prly suffer the same fate, but good luck to me anyway.

This happens a lot on this website. They censor and delete comments.

      • Travis

That’s just criminal. Censorship is unAmerican. What is wrong here, CBS?

    • TheTruth

I think it is the jerks reporting comments. CBS should not delete anything that is not criminal, or threatening somehow. They seem to delete anything that is reported. It is poor editing. People shouldn’t report any comments either!!!!!

I grew up in that town and 1 of my grandchildren attend THAT school right now, and another will be going this fall. Knowing how that town has changed, I am not surprised one bit at this happening. The state wants more money for the kids, but they are not careful who they hire to be with our kids. As for being guilty or not, guilty people go free and free people get charged. Remember the important thing…these are our little children…if someone doesn’t start speaking FOR them, what chance do they have?
