Konroyd: Kane 'An Artist With The Puck'

Patrick Kane has 122 goals in his short NHL career, and perhaps none of those goals represents his unique type of offensive ability like the game-winning goal in game six of the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals.

"He's an artist with the puck," former Blackhawk and current analyst Steve Konroyd said on the Danny Mac Show. "I love his creativity when he gets the puck. Not many guys can stand him up, you know, you talk about slippery."

When he's at his best it appears as if he has the puck glued to his stick and defenders are moving in slow motion. He's a perfect fit for the Blackhawks' puck possession offense.

"He reminds me of a great running back, with his cutbacks," Konroyd said. "The defenseman thinks he has him, and 'Kaner' can just slip the check right at the last second. And he's not afraid, that's the other thing, he's not a big guy, he's [5' 10"]. He will go to areas that a lot of big guys will go to. He has the guts to do it and not very often he gets nailed."
