Bickell Undergoes Hand Surgery

CHICAGO (CBS) Chicago Blackhawks forward Bryan Bickell underwent hand surgery to repair a tendon lacerated during Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals, the team announced on Monday.

“While the surgery was anticipated since the injury occurred,” the Blackhawks said in a statement. “Bryan wanted to play as long as possible before time ran out to complete the procedure appropriately.”

Bickell is expected to make a full recovery in six to eight weeks.
